Heavy industrial giant needs an SMP Construction Coordinator with exp of large & small piping installation across a range of fluids & gases.

Reporting to the Construction Manager, you will be responsible for performing construction coordination for a vast $1bn + project.

Duties:

  • Contribute to the Design Process:
    • Review the development of engineering designs to ensure constructability of the equipment and allows ongoing operations and maintenance.
    • Ensure that the project planning systems include key construction activities and milestones.
  • Management of Site Access:
    • Authorise contractor work packs, ensuring all risks of the work are identified
    • Ensure that appropriate documentation is authorised
    • Ensure persons entering the plant are aware of changing conditions
  • Construction Planning and Execution:
    • Assist in the development of initial isolation procedures
    • Participate in the construction planning with team members
    • Update isolation procedures to accommodate construction activities during commissioning stages
    • Overview, with the Project Team, the procedures and methods of construction progress monitoring put in place by the consultant or implementation contractor/s
    • Conduct progress tracking
    • Monitor procurement, manufacture, installation, construction and testing to meet Contract Performance Acceptance Criteria
  • Commissioning process:
    • Assist with activities associated with pre-commissioning, commissioning, handover and rectification during the defects liability period for each facility
    • Provide Technical knowledge and organise resources as required to the Construction and Commissioning teams to trouble shoot equipment problems
