Role Overview:
- Location: FIFO from Perth
- Roster: 8 days on, 6 days off, 12-hour shifts
- 6 month contracting opportunity
Key Responsibilities:
- Day-to-day maintenance, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of process control systems.
- Manage additions, removals, and changes to process control systems.
- Provide frontline control engineering support to maintenance, production, and engineering teams.
- Collaborate with operations, maintenance, and engineering teams to align automation systems with site requirements.
- Support Reliability Engineering, Maintenance, and Asset Management Best Practices.
- Identify and execute minor improvement projects.
Technical Duties:
- Offer frontline control engineering support.
- Assist in Root Cause Analysis, process improvement, and post-incident investigations.
- Maintain and audit statutory systems as per relevant legislation.
- Ensure compliance with change management procedures, keeping logs and registers updated and audited.
- Perform routine preventative maintenance, checks, audits, and patches to maintain hardware and software integrity.
- Provide cost-effective engineering solutions compliant with site and Australian Standards.
- Offer technical support, guidance, and coaching on process control systems.
- Conduct performance evaluations to identify and enhance system performance.
- Safeguard the safety, security, and integrity of process control systems from physical and cyber threats.
About You:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in mining or heavy industrial environments.
- Qualifications:
- Electrical/Instrument trade certificate with 4 years of automation-specific experience, or
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronics/Process Engineering/Mechatronics.
- Strong understanding of:
- Yokogawa Centum DCS
- Rockwell PLCs
- Industrial Communications Networks
- OSISoft PI Plant Historian
