As the Site Supervisor, your role will be a site-based role responsible for coordinating the site program, management of trades as well as overseeing plant, equipment and Materials, for achieving the successful handing over of the project to the client. The role is pivotal to ensuring all Design Engineers, and Subcontractors are completing their tasks and all individual test plans (ITP’s) are completed and inspected as each phase of the construction is completed.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate with Structural Engineer to ensure Formwork design is completed to an acceptable standard in time to maintain programme. Ensure Subcontractors working to the designs.
- Ensure formwork is being installed in accordance with the Formwork Code of Practice, in particular noting high risk items such as leading edges, Handrails, Signage, Exclusion zones, Catch decks, Safe Access pathways, Stripping activities and site cleanliness. Timely close out of issues raised.
- Site administration including providing Markups of Subcontract and current documents, provide photographic evidence, timesheets and any other relevant documentation as required.
- Coordinate with suppliers to ensure shop drawings are produced on time and liaise with the Client to obtain timely approval of shop drawings, and deliveries are on time.
- Coordinate deliveries of materials to and from site. Liaise with the Subcontractors to ensure adequate materials on site at all times. Maintain register of materials on site and ensure that all materials that need to return to the yard are accounted for.
- Management of site activities to achieve the most productive use of available materials and construction resources (internal and external)
- Preparation and administration of defects list for trades, monitor rectifications and close out. Maintain overall quality assurance whilst ensuring building compliance.
- Immediately notify the Site Manager on issues likely to have a substantial impact on operations
Knowledge and Skills
- Carpentry, with focus on Formwork Competency.
- Knowledge of the Formwork Code of Practice and legislation.
- Ability to read, understand and enforce Subcontract requirements
- Knowledge of Hammertech and Aconex (or similar) systems
