Lead Electrical Engineer - multi-year opportunity

You will be responsible for

• Manage the Electrical Engineering team to support the development of project scope and capital estimate ensuring alignment to the project delivery strategy.
• Delivering work packages for the project, including the coordination of internal electrical design resources, ensuring compliance the Engineering Management Plan
• Performing electrical engineering whilst ensuring fit for purpose solutions have been engineered within budget and on schedule
• Project engineering for assigned work packages, including developing scopes of work and technical specifications, tender packages, and timely delivery of work packages.

You will possess

• 5+ years of experience in the management of small – medium design and construction projects or work packages in a heavy industrial environment
• Demonstrated commitment to safety, health, the environment, and community.
• Experience in the pre-authorisation development and delivery of discipline engineering and project deliverables.
• Tendering, negotiating and administration of major equipment supply and construction contracts.
• Experience of project estimating and planning preparation
• Project and plant risk identification and management with a particular focus on achieving a zero-harm project outcome.
• Knowledge of engineering packages, examples AutoCAD, electrical design software packages
• A broad understanding of engineering, construction, and commissioning to allow tight integration of construction and project workstreams.
• An understanding of a toll-gated approach to project development and execution
