Rapidly growing D&C need a talented Construction Manager from a Tier 1/2 background and end-to-end medium to high density project experience. Top $$$.

You will be ultimately responsible for correctly planning projects from conception through to completion to ensure the delivery of projects within scope, designated timeframes, and budget.
You will ensure projects remain on target by maintaining an accurate construction program to ensure all activities are sequenced to deliver the project safely, on time and within budget.

Responsibilities

Pre-Construction Phase

  • Assist in analysing potential projects / tenders
  • Risk Analysis of all projects
  • Facilitate the construction input in tender process including providing construction methodology, cashflow, construction program and site logistics
  • Assist in Tender Bids and Presentations
  • Assist in value engineering solutions for cost savings
  • Manage Design Process and incorporate solutions
  • Forecast resources and build teams after carrying out skills assessment


Construction Phase

  • Chair and manager handover process from estimators to PM’s
  • Responsible for planning, organising, controlling and directing the projects and project teams
  • Ensure Site teams are engaged with the business
  • Organise monthly reporting for all projects to management
  • Track Project Health by reviewing bi-weekly construction program, logistics, methodology and cashflow
  • Quality management: Generate ITP’s and monitor regularly
  • WHS/Safety management: Organise and track safety of projects with compliance officer
  • Quarterly reports to management identifying lessons learnt and risk mitigation plans
  • Staff management: performance analysis quarterly and strategic management of resources
  • Qualify subcontractors and suppliers annually
  • Monitor project close out and handover process to Maintenance Department


Other Managerial Responsibilities

  • Mentoring and organising staff training systems
  • Research and Develop new construction methods and techniques
  • Adhere to updated codes and legislations
  • Develop company management systems procedures and manuals
  • Create a culture that motivates performance and design development plans for staff
  • Assist in continual improvement
