Reporting to the program manager you will be responsible for designing and developing electrical systems for commercial solar, battery storage, and electric vehicle charger EPC projects.
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop electrical systems for commercial solar, battery storage, and electric vehicle charger EPC projects.
- Ensure that designs comply with relevant legislation, regulations, and industry standards.
- Use AutoCAD, PVsyst, Sketchup, Orkestra & PSCAD to create detailed designs and models of electrical systems.
- Collaborate with other engineers and stakeholders to ensure that designs meet project requirements and constraints.
- Provide technical advice and support to the project team and clients.
- Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure that installations meet design specifications and standards.
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments and technological advancements in the field of electrical engineering.
- Ensure that designs are cost-effective and deliver value to the business.
Key Role Requirements:
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- SAA (GCPV and GCBS Design) accreditation required.
- Proven experience in the design and development of electrical systems for solar, battery storage, and electric vehicle charger EPC projects.
- Strong knowledge of AutoCAD, PVsyst, Meteocontrol, Skelion, and Orkestra software.
- Excellent technical skills and knowledge of electrical engineering principles.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work in a team environment.
