Seeking a Senior Project Manager for an urgent start for a contracting opportunity in Darwin, headquarted in the CBD.
Initial 6-month engagement with the option to extend.
You will deliver of a mix of stand-alone projects and program of works involving a number of small projects in the Infrastructure and Utilities space. You will work on remote or isolated power generation plants, across both electrical and mechanical domains.
About the Role
- Project governance and project reporting.
- Project delivery through the entire project/program life cycle from initiation to delivery.
- Supervisory requirements
- Managing project and program task deliverables through coordination of the responsible teams.
- Preparation, implementation, and management of project management plans including:
- Detailed scopes
- Functional specifications
- Delivery schedules (Gantt Charts)
- Risk management
- Resource Management
- Communications plans
- Stakeholder engagement including community/cultural engagement
- Ensuring potential project risks and issues are proactively identified, communicated, and managed or escalated.
- Maintain an accurate status on the capital delivery program, across many small projects and various project coordinators, including monthly time and cost forecasting.
About You
- Minimum 5-10 years project management experience.
- Formal Project Management Professional certification.
- Knowledge of, or an ability to quickly acquire understanding of remote or isolated generation plant, across both electrical and mechanical.
- Knowledge of electricity networks is also desirable.
- Experience delivering projects within an Infrastructure / Utility environment.
- Experience working in a remote environment (remote communities, oil and gas etc) is desirable.
- Additional experience including:
- Procurement management
- Contractor performance monitoring
- Compliance management
- Developing/ delivering tenders
- Process analysis and drafting
- Project administration including register administration and template development.
- Well-developed written and oral communication skills including the ability to collaborate with the trade based technical SME’s.
