Reporting to the Strategic Realisation Manager, you will be responsible for developing and implementing engineering solutions that align with the strategic goals of the organization, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Planning & Development: Develop and implement engineering strategies that align with the company’s long-term goals and business objectives.
  • Problem-Solving & Innovation: Analyse complex engineering challenges, identify innovative solutions, and apply advanced engineering principles to improve performance, reduce costs, and optimize operations.
  • Stakeholder Management: Engage with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment of project objectives.
  • Risk & Compliance Management: Assess and mitigate risks associated with engineering projects, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and organizational policies.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in engineering processes, technologies, and methodologies.
  • Quality Assurance & Safety: Ensure that engineering activities meet the highest standards of quality and safety.

Required:

  • Experience: Significant experience (typically 7+ years) in a strategic engineering role, with a proven track record of delivering high-value projects in power generation, defence, mining, or other highly regulated sector.
  • Technical Expertise: Strong background in engineering principles and practices, with the ability to apply complex technical knowledge to solve operational challenges.
  • Leadership & Communication: Strong leadership abilities, with the capacity to manage cross-functional teams and lead projects through all stages of development. Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, to engage effectively with stakeholders.
  • Problem-Solving: Demonstrated ability to think strategically and solve complex engineering problems by utilizing innovative solutions and advanced engineering techniques.
  • Project Management: Strong understanding of project management methodologies, with experience in delivering projects on time, within scope, and on budget. Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
