Our Client is seeking to engage a Cyber Security Architect for their Cyber Security Uplift Program.

This is a 6-month opportunity, on a contract basis located in Darwin.

They are committed to ensuring the security and resilience of critical infrastructure, as required by the Security of Critical Infrastructure (SOCI) Act 2018. To meet this, they have launched a strategic initiative to protect its critical infrastructure and assets from security and cyber threats to improve business resilience.

They are seeking specialised expertise to strengthen its cyber security posture, and as Cyber Security Architect, you will support the Core Operations cyber security teams across IT and OT.

About the Role

  • Shape cyber security architecture, ensuring alignment with industry best practices and standards, and addressing complex security challenges across operations.
  • Provide high level professional services to guide cyber security initiatives and help implement robust controls such as network segmentation, access controls, personnel screening, and intrusion detection systems.
  • Collaborate closely with the Core Operations security teams to enhance security posture, mitigate evolving risks, and ensure the integrity, availability, and confidentiality of critical assets.
  • Support the overall cyber security architecture and roadmap.
  • Design cyber-specific architectural solutions or strategies to aid the uplift of cyber security maturity.
  • Develop and support the maintenance of technical security standards and patterns.
  • Anticipate security requirements for initiatives and projects as part of the technology strategy.

Essential Thinks About the You

  • Extensive experience in designing, building, and running ICT / Operational Technology (OT) technology services in alignment with security best practice.
  • Experience working in an agile development, security, and operations (DevSecOps) environment.
  • Proven technical experience across a wide variety of technologies such as enterprise systems networks, application platforms, control systems, cloud, and digital solutions through a standard development lifecycle.
  • High level strategic, conceptual, and analytical skills including successfully translating complex requirements into succinct and meaningful design and scoping documents.
  • Experience managing cyber security projects or experience working in the cyber security field.

A Bit More About You

  • Experience in OT systems, including SCADA, PLCs, DCS, HMI, EMS, MMS, and real-time process control equipment.
  • A good knowledge, and application of, cyber security standards and frameworks applied within the energy sector and industrial control systems (AESCSF and IEC62443).
  • Experience in government / government-owned organisations, utility or other industrial environment
