As a Controls & Electrical Engineer, you will be a key player in designing, developing, troubleshooting, and optimising control system. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams, clients, and stakeholders to ensure seamless system performance, reliability, and efficiency.
What You’ll Do
- Design, develop, troubleshoot, and maintain control systems & cabinet layouts for turntables and associated machinery.
- Perform in-depth engineering for electrical and control systems, including software development, component specification & selection, system testing, diagnostics, calibration, and performance verification.
- Manage controls scope of projects from concept to completion, ensuring quality, compliance, and efficiency.
- Work closely with mechanical design engineers, operational teams, clients and contractors.
- Ensure all projects meet industry standards, best practices, and safety requirements.
- Provide technical support and training to team members as required.
- Develop data capture systems for performance analysis and continuous improvement.
- Maintain up to date knowledge of industry trends, standards, and technology advancements.
What We’re Looking For
- Proven expertise in designing and implementing control systems, automation, and instrumentation.
- Hands-on experience with PLCs and SCADA systems, ensuring effective automation and system integration.
- A critical thinker & problem solver with strong analytical skills and a high level of attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills to engage with stakeholders and provide technical support.
- Ability to work on multiple projects in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
- Commitment to innovation, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
- Relevant qualifications in Electrical Engineering, Controls & Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or similar field.
