System Administrator will play a critical role in delivering a Security Uplift Program to meet growing threats and regulatory requirements.
This involves assessing, planning, and executing necessary changes to Windows and Cloud environments, supporting administrative infrastructure, aligning them with industry regulations and customer requirements - such as ACSC’s Essential Eight, ISO27001, and NIST800-171.
This role demands precision and quality in all work, effective task management, and clear communication.

You must be an Australian Citizen to be considered.

Initial 6-month contract with potential extension options.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review the current technical state Windows and Cloud environments and supporting administrative infrastructure
  • Assist in the planning and execute the delivery of the necessary changes required to uplift environments from current state to algin with ACSC’s Essential Eight, ISO27001 and NIST800-171 requirements.
  • Liaise with the key stakeholders to deliver changes.
  • Identify areas for improved efficiencies in the ongoing management and sustainment of the environments.
  • Effectively manage assigned tasks, clarifying requirements, developing plans, and deliver high-quality work with minimal revisions.
  • Continuously seek ways to improve skills and efficiency, analysing processes and identifying areas for enhancement.
  • Think strategically about how tasks contribute to the overall goals for growth and success.

Essential Skills

  • Windows & Cloud Administration – AD, GPO, Azure AD
  • Patch Management – Intune, WSUS, SSCM, patch automation
  • Application Control – MDAC, AppLocker
  • IDAM – RBAC, MFA, JIT
  • System Hardening – CIS Benchmarks, Defender ASR rules, SOE management
  • Backup tuning
