Electrical and Control Engineer - Top $$$

We are seeking an experienced Electrical and Control Systems Engineer to join our Engineering and Project team. The successful candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in electrical and control systems design and implementation in a manufacturing environment

Responsibilities

• Design and develop electrical and control systems for manufacturing processes
• Install, commission, and maintain control systems
• Develop and maintain technical documentation for electrical and control systems
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with control systems
• Ensure electrical and control systems are in compliance with industry and safety standards
• Support all Technical, Electrical and Engineering teams with identifying improvement opportunities by costing and quantifying benefit
• Manage and support execution of capital and non-capital improvement initiatives
• Ensuring that company EH&S policies and procedures are adhered to.
• Following quality processes and ensuring compliance and industry engineering standards.

Skills/Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and Control Systems
• Expertise in understanding and developing electrical wiring, switchboard/ control panel design and P&ID drawings.
• Experience in low voltage and high voltage systems.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a electrical and control systems role in a manufacturing environment
• Excellent skills and experience in Industrial Control and Automation (SCADA/DCS and PLC) including IT/OT networking and variable speed drives
• Relevant PLC Programming Experience (e.g. Rockwell, Schneider, Siemens)
• Relevant SCADA Programming Experience (e.g. Citect, FactoryTalk View, GE iFIX)
• Hands on approach is critical to this role
• Critical thinking skills with an ability to solve technical issues
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with industry standards such as AS 3000, ISO 9001, IEC 61508, and/or IEC 61511 is a plus.
• Knowledge of machine safety systems would be an advantage.
