Mech/Elec Commissioning Engineer – Infrastructure Giant

Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will ensure that mechanical and electrical systems are installed, tested, and operational according to design specifications and industry standards. You will work closely with design engineers, construction teams, and clients to plan, execute, and document the commissioning process, ensuring systems are ready for safe and efficient operation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute commissioning plans, procedures, and protocols, including site inspections, system tests, and performance evaluations.
  • Provide technical guidance and support throughout the commissioning process, addressing issues and ensuring compliance with project requirements.
  • Conduct system tests, inspections, and quality control checks to verify that systems are installed and operating correctly.
  • Maintain detailed records of commissioning activities, including test results, observations, and recommendations.
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders, including design engineers, construction teams, and clients, to ensure successful commissioning.
  • Identify and resolve technical issues during the commissioning process, working with the team to find solutions.
  • Train and mentor project staff on commissioning best practices and safety protocols.
  • Ensure all commissioning activities are conducted safely and in accordance with relevant safety regulations.


Required:

  • A degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or a related engineering field is generally required.
  • 5+ years of experience in commissioning, start-up, and operational support of complex systems.
  • Proficiency in commissioning practices, including testing procedures, performance acceptance testing, and documentation.
  • Understanding of relevant safety regulations and industry standards.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues
  • Knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems, including automation and control systems.
  • Ability to manage and complete projects on time and within budget.
