We are seeking an experienced Communications Officer to support the delivery of a major Electronic Rostering Program. This role is ideal for a communications professional who thrives in fast-paced environments and is passionate about stakeholder engagement and change communication.

You will be responsible for developing and delivering communication materials across various channels and coordinating stakeholder engagement events. The role involves travel to multiple sites and working closely with the Implementation team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement communication plans and materials (e.g., intranet content, videos, newsletters, posters).
  • Coordinate stakeholder engagement events and deliver communication artefacts and merchandise.
  • Maintain communication schedules, tracking registers, and reporting tools.
  • Support change management efforts and coach team members on stakeholder engagement.
  • Provide timely feedback and risk mitigation advice related to communication and change resistance.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Minimum 2 years of hands-on communication experience in fast-paced, geographically dispersed environments.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Adobe Pro, Illustrator, and other communication tools.
  • Strong writing and design skills for diverse stakeholder audiences.
  • Experience in stakeholder engagement and change communication.
  • Ability to manage communication schedules and evaluate effectiveness.

Desirable Skills & Experience

  • Background in government, emergency services, social services, health, or education sectors.
  • Qualifications in Journalism or Communications.
  • Experience working on high-pressure projects.

Deliverables

  • Accurate and relevant communication content tailored to stakeholder needs.
  • Development of change communication collateral in collaboration with subject matter experts.
  • Management of issue communications and internal approval processes.
  • Support for transition and post-go-live communication activities.
  • Maintenance of engagement and communication registers.
