Control Systems Engineer

Embedded Expertise is partnering with a leading global resources company to deliver engineering support to one of their key South Australian operations. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled Senior Control Systems Engineer to contribute to a high-performing team within a complex mining environment.

Start Date: Mid-September 2025
Location: South Australia (site-based with flexible Adelaide rotation)
Roster: 5/2 and 4/3 alternating
Contract Duration: 6–12 months

Key Responsibilities

• Provide operational support for a designated plant area, including monitoring and improving control loop performance, alarming, auto sequencing, interlocking, and system bridging.
• Plan, assess, and implement changes to control systems in accordance with structured change management procedures.
• Collaborate daily with technical teams, production personnel, and control room operators to ensure safe and efficient plant operations.
• Support maintenance and operations teams with investigations and continuous improvement initiatives.

About You

• Proven experience in industrial control systems within the mining or heavy industry sectors.
• Strong working knowledge of platforms such as PLC5, ControlLogix, and PlantSCADA.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise across multidisciplinary teams.
• Self-motivated, safety-focused, and capable of working independently while driving stakeholder alignment.
• Able to identify and proactively address operational issues and improvement opportunities.
