Project/Process Engineer - Long Term Contract

We are seeking an experienced Project Engineer to lead brownfield projects from concept through to commissioning of chemical process equipment. This role also supports the rollout of process and reliability programs across ANZ operations, ensuring engineering excellence and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and deliver capital projects including design, estimation, scoping, installation, and commissioning.
• Collaborate across engineering disciplines and participate in cross-functional project teams.
• Monitor and report on project costs, schedules, and progress; identify and resolve issues promptly.
• Produce weekly/monthly project status reports.
• Ensure all projects are delivered in a safe, healthy, and secure manner.
• Support implementation of systems to maintain MHF compliance across ANZ.
• Manage critical engineering documentation (e.g., P&IDs, hazard area dossiers, electrical drawings).
• Assist with regulatory compliance including MHF and EPA requirements.
• Provide engineering support to maintain optimal productivity, compliance, and cost efficiency.
• Deliver cost-effective, in-house process and engineering solutions.
• Conduct discipline-specific engineering studies, analysis, and design work.
• Develop a deep understanding of manufacturing processes and equipment.
• Champion Engineering Excellence internally and with contractors.

About You

• Degree-qualified in Process, Mechanical, Chemical, or Electrical Engineering (preferably recognized by Engineers Australia).
• Experience in site-based project delivery within chemical manufacturing or liquid process industries.
• Strong engineering project management skills across multiple disciplines.
• Excellent reporting and presentation capabilities.
• Proven ability to manage competing priorities with flexibility and initiative.
• Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communicator with strong interpersonal and teamwork abilities.
