Project Engineer w/ HV Transmission Substation exp

Working on a landmark renewables project, you will oversee and coordinate the manufacture and supply of HV transmission substation equipment.

This massive transmission infrastructure project will combine high-capacity transmission lines, energy hubs and related infrastructure, will enable generators such as solar and wind farms and energy storage providers to connect to the electricity grid, providing a reliable supply of clean, affordable electricity for households and businesses across NSW.

Reporting to a Project Manager you will oversee and coordinate a massive procurement effort utilising your knowledge of substation design to understand and to advise on the criticality of the manufacture and supply of substation infrastructure.

You will possess experience in

• 6+ years of exposure in HV substations projects with experience in handling various suppliers / Manufacturers related HV equipment's.
• Design Coordination: Managing multi-disciplinary engineering inputs (electrical, mechanical, civil) and coordinate with Manufacturer / supplier in alignment with project specifications and construction requirements.
• Manufacturer follow ups: Liaising with various manufacturer for all kind of equipment's (Primary & secondary) including tracking deliverables, resolving technical queries, and ensuring compliance with standards.
• HV Substation Experience: Understanding of substation systems & processes is critical to interface effectively.
• Acting as the technical interface between Design, vendors, Quality, Logistics and construction teams.
• Reviewing and manage engineering deliverables and ensure timely approvals.
• Supporting procurement and logistics by validating technical specifications and delivery schedules.
• Facilitating resolution of design and integration issues during construction and commissioning.
