Reporting to the Project Manager, you will develop construction & environment management plan (CEMP) and Safety Management Plan in accordance with company requirements and planning consent conditions.
Responsibilities
- Assist with constructability in design reviews.
- Manage the implementation of the construction & environment management plan (CEMP) & Safety Management Plan (SMP).
- Prepare work permits when required as well as manage a small team of site coordinators.
- Work collaboratively with other project work streams i.e. project engineers
You will Posses
- Degree qualification in engineering or qualifications in the construction Industry
- 10+ years of experience in construction management for capital projects in heavy industry
- Experience in the safe and successful development and delivery of large capital project(s) (>$100m)
- Demonstrated commitment to safety, health, the environment and community
- Proficiency at making good decisions based on a mixture of analysis, wisdom, experience, judgement and consultation.
- Ability to work at the project Area team level and to engage effectively with senior project leaders
- Solid knowledge of the local construction industry, construction design, construction standards, regulations, methodology and quality requirements
- Excellent Leadership and Communication skills
- Ability to build and run and an effective construction team
