You will be responsible for creating detailed electrical designs and schematics, ensuring compliance with international (US) standards, and supporting the full lifecycle of equipment development, from concept to commissioning.
Responsibilities
- Electrical design & component selection (cables, connectors, terminations, enclosures, motors, drives, sensors, remote I/O, safety devices).
- Create detailed schematics and generate BOMs through PDM; provide cost estimates and support procurement.
- Drafting in SolidWorks Electrical (panel layouts, wiring diagrams, cable schedules, device lists).
- Material and component compliance checks (clean room suitability, regulatory conformity).
- Safety system drafting typical of manufacturing equipment (E-Stops, light curtains, interlocks, safety relays/PLCs).
- Potentially supervise builds, liaising with workshops and vendors to ensure design intent and quality.
- Hands-on support with wiring and equipment testing during FAT/SAT as needed.
Skills/Experience
- Degree or trade qualification in Electrical Engineering (or related discipline).
- Strong preference for candidate with experience in design and development of customised pharmaceutical manufacturing equipment Strong experience in industrial automation/equipment design with DCS/PLC architectures and industrial networks (e.g., Ethernet/IP, Profinet, Modbus).
- Proficiency in SolidWorks Electrical (schematics, panel layout, reports) and PDM workflows.
- Demonstrated capability in component selection, BOM creation, and costing.
- Working knowledge of machine safety (ISO 13849/IEC 62061 principles) and integrating safety devices.
- Excellent documentation, stakeholder communication, and attention to detail.
