ITS Operations Engineer - Critical Infrastructure

Reporting to the Principal Domain Lead, you will work within a talented ITS Operations Team and will spend your tea and spend your time working on Operations projects, supporting day-to-day maintenance activities where needed, and other maintenance or engineering related tasks for critical infrastructure like tunnels and major road networks.

Responsibilities

• System Monitoring & Maintenance: Oversee and maintain ITS components like traffic flow systems, CCTV, PLCs, radio, and data networks, ensuring high availability.
• Fault Resolution: Diagnose and resolve system faults, directing subcontractors and internal teams for timely restoration.
• Technical Design: Develop engineering specifications, designs, and solutions for ITS infrastructure in tunnels, bridges, and open roads.
• Data & Analytics: Integrate data streams, configure databases, and use data analytics to optimize traffic flow and predict issues.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Work with project teams, government, and industry partners to implement solutions and advise on policy.
• Future-Proofing: Investigate system performance, supportability, and obsolescence, keeping up with new technologies (cyber security, cloud, AI).
• Testing & Integration: Plan and conduct testing for new ITS assets.
