Project Manager – Electrical / Controls / Automation

We’re seeking a highly capable Project Manager with a strong background in electrical engineering, controls, or industrial automation to lead a significant program of work. This is an excellent long-term contracting opportunity for someone who thrives in complex technical environments.

About the Role

You will be responsible for driving end-to-end project delivery across electrical and automation workstreams, working closely with engineering teams, vendors, and stakeholders to ensure successful outcomes. The role will involve planning, execution, risk management, and coordination across multidisciplinary teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the delivery of automation/electrical projects from initiation through to completion
• Manage schedules, budgets, procurement, and contractor performance
• Coordinate with engineering, operations, and onsite teams to ensure smooth execution
• Oversee FAT/SAT activities, commissioning, and integration milestones
• Identify risks, develop mitigation strategies, and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards
• Prepare project documentation, reports, and stakeholder updates

About You

• Strong background in Electrical Engineering, Controls, or Industrial Automation
• Proven experience delivering technical or engineering projects in industrial environments
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
• Strong organisational and planning capability
• Experience with DeltaV or other DCS/SCADA systems will be a significant advantage
• Ability to work autonomously and drive outcomes in a fast-paced environment
