ITS Operations Engineer - TOP $$$

Join a specialist Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) team supporting the monitoring, maintenance and enhancement of critical operational technology across major road networks. You’ll work across diverse domains including surveillance and detection, operational control systems, road-user communications, tolling, infrastructure, and functional safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor OT system availability and performance, responding to and resolving degraded operations.
• Administer work orders and coordinate with contractors and service providers for OT issues.
• Undertake system backups and test system restore procedures.
• Conduct regular business continuity, failover and redundancy assurance testing.
• Provide advice on OT condition, performance and requirements to support asset management decisions.
• Provide input on OT performance and requirements to inform system design.
• Raise technology change requests for OT interventions.
• Administer technology change requests to manage safety and operational risks during changes.
• Administer preventative maintenance activities undertaken by contractors and service providers.
• Administer corrective maintenance works delivered by contractors and service providers.

Skills/Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or other Technology area related to the technical domains.
• Proven understanding of OT operations and maintenance practices, asset management, and project delivery.
• Experience with ITS systems or a technical role relevant to the technical domains.
• Experience in surveillance and detection technologies including cameras, incident detection systems, and traffic counting solutions.
• Operational control systems including OMCS and other control-room technologies.
• Road user communication systems including signage, wayfinding, radio-rebroadcast, and public address systems. (Desirable)
• Infrastructure, communications networks, security systems, and functional safety frameworks, processes, and standards.
