We are seeking motivated and safety-focused Operators to join a major power generation facility in Central Australia. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with strong technical capability, proven teamwork, and a commitment to safe and reliable operations.

The Opportunity

As an Operator, you will work within a rotating shift environment to monitor, operate and support a range of power generation technologies. You will play a key role in ensuring the safe, efficient and reliable operation of plant and equipment across the site.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate and monitor generating plant and associated equipment across multiple technologies.
  • Conduct inspections, tests and routine operational tasks, identifying defects and entering accurate information into the ERP system.
  • Coordinate safe access to plant for maintenance activities in partnership with the site leadership team.
  • Work collaboratively with remote operations teams to optimise plant operations.
  • Uphold strong safety, environmental and quality standards at all times.
  • Participate in a 24/7 shift roster and support onsite supervision when required.

About You

You will bring initiative, strong safety awareness and the ability to work well in a team-based, fast-paced operational environment.

Essential

  • Strong commitment to safe work practices.
  • AQF Level III qualification OR relevant experience/skills.
  • Experience working within structured operational or industrial environments.
  • Ability to analyse plant issues, identify anomalies and report accurately.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
  • Experience working in continuous shift operations.

Desirable

  • Experience with gas turbines, reciprocating engines or similar industrial plant.
  • Trade background in mechanical or electrical fields.
  • Experience working within a Permit to Work system.
