EIC Project Engineer – heavy industrial giant

Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will participate in the resolution of engineering issues and influence key stake holders, ensuring the integration of design disciplines across assigned work packages. You will review, analyse, recommend, and approve the provision of low voltage distribution, drives, and control systems instrumentation calculations and design.

Responsibilities

• Management of small-medium design and construction projects in heavy industry
• Where responsible for design elements, ensuring design output completion following a design process that includes -
• developing and maintaining a design management plan, design reviews. verification, authorisation, and validation
• ensuring appropriate technical and end-user involvement in the design process
• Contract commercial and technical document preparation
• Project estimating and planning processes
• Cost Management and forecasting
• Project risk identification and management with a particular focus on achieving a zero-harm
• Commissioning planning and involvement
• Engineering design high attention to detail

You will possess

• 5+ years of project engineering on capital projects in heavy industry
• Experience with low voltage distribution, drives, instrumentation, and control systems design
• Understands toll gated approach to project development and execution
• Experience in the pre-authorisation development and delivery
• Construction supervision experience
• Demonstrated commitment to safety
• Tendering, negotiation and administration of major equipment supply and construction contracts
• Sound knowledge of project scheduling tools
