Senior Technical Advisor – Design & Drafting (Contract)

12 month Contract | Full time | Leederville Location

We are seeking an experienced Senior Technical Advisor – Design & Drafting to join a high performing asset delivery environment. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a technical setting, enjoys complex design challenges, and can quickly step into a busy project pipeline.

About the Role

In this contractor position, you will provide advanced design and drafting support across a diverse portfolio of water?related infrastructure projects. Working alongside engineers and project teams, you will deliver high?quality drawings, technical outputs, and design advice to support critical capital works programs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Produce complex design drawings, calculations, and documentation
  • Develop 3D concept designs and engineering models
  • Maintain project schedules, estimates, and progress updates
  • Review drawings to ensure adherence to drafting and engineering standards
  • Provide technical input across multidisciplinary project teams
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to gather and interpret design requirements

Skills & Experience

Essential

  • Tertiary qualifications in engineering, drafting or similar
  • Strong background in water infrastructure design and drafting
  • Advanced skills in AutoCAD 3D, Civil 3D, and Navisworks
  • Proven capability in estimating time and cost for complex drafting tasks
  • Experience across civil, mechanical, electrical, or process related drafting
  • Strong analytical, communication, and problem solving skills

Desirable

  • Understanding of environmental and social considerations in water/wastewater design
  • Additional multidisciplinary drafting experience

Contract Details

  • Start: Ideally 2 March 2026 (or ASAP)
  • Duration: 12 months
  • Hours: 38 per week
  • Location: Leederville
