We are seeking an experienced Program Scheduler to support the delivery of Electrical and Automation projects within critical water infrastructure. This role plays a key part in ensuring essential water assets are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with regulatory and operational requirements.
Working closely with Project Managers, Engineers, and delivery partners, you will develop and manage integrated schedules across multiple capital and maintenance programs that support essential water and wastewater services.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and control program-level schedules for Electrical and Automation work packages across water infrastructure projects.
- Establish baseline schedules, milestones, critical paths, and dependencies across engineering, procurement, construction, testing, and commissioning phases.
- Monitor progress, analyse schedule performance, and identify risks impacting critical infrastructure delivery.
- Work collaboratively with Project Managers, Electrical and Automation Engineers, and contractors to align delivery activities.
- Assess schedule impacts of scope changes, outages, and operational constraints typical of live water assets.
- Produce clear progress reports, look-ahead schedules, and recovery plans for internal and external stakeholders.
- Support compliance with safety, quality, and operational requirements inherent to critical water infrastructure.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of planning and scheduling practices across the program.
Skills & Experience Required
- Proven experience as a Program Scheduler or Project Scheduler supporting Electrical, Automation, or Control Systems projects (highly desirable).
- Experience working on water, wastewater, utilities, or other critical infrastructure projects is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of project delivery across brownfield and greenfield environments, including shutdown and live-asset constraints.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Project (Primavera P6 experience advantageous).
- Ability to manage multiple schedules across concurrent projects and stakeholders.
- Strong analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
- Clear communication skills and confidence engaging with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
