Design Engineer w/ strong CATIA exp

Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will work on major transport infrastructure project and play a key role in delivering high-quality detailed design solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver detailed engineering designs in line with project requirements and standards
• Produce 3D models, assemblies, and drawings using CATIA
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (mechanical, electrical, structural) to ensure integrated design solutions
• Conduct design reviews, risk assessments, and compliance checks
• Support project delivery teams with technical expertise throughout execution
• Ensure designs meet safety, quality, and regulatory standards

About You

• Strong proficiency in CATIA (essential)
• Ability to work across multidisciplinary engineering environments
• Solid understanding of Australian standards and engineering best practices
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Bachelor’s degree in any of Mechanical, Electrical, Structural Engineering, or related discipline

Desirable Skills

• Experience with large-scale infrastructure or rail/energy projects
• Knowledge of additional CAD tools (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD)
