Systems & Software Engineer – Digital Integration

This role is ideal for a technically strong engineer with deep expertise in System Architecture, systems integration, and defence-related ICT environments. The successful candidate will work closely with stakeholders, engineering teams, and government representatives to provide technical guidance and architectural oversight across critical digital integration projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and advisory services for defence digital network integration initiatives
• Develop and review system architecture designs, interface specifications, and integration strategies
• Support systems engineering activities across the project lifecycle, including requirements analysis, verification, and validation
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering and program teams to ensure interoperability and mission alignment
• Assess technical risks, dependencies, and integration impacts across complex environments
• Contribute to architecture governance, technical documentation, and engineering decision-making
• Ensure solutions align with government security, compliance, and operational requirements

Essential Skills & Experience

• Proven experience as a Systems Engineer, Software Engineer, or Systems Architect within complex ICT or defence environments
• Strong knowledge of:

• System Architecture and Design
• Digital Network Integration
• Systems Engineering methodologies
• Enterprise or mission-critical ICT systems
• Software and hardware integration principles

• Experience working within defence, government, or highly regulated environments
• Strong stakeholder engagement and technical communication skills
• Ability to work effectively within integrated project teams

Security Requirements

• Minimum NV1 Security Clearance required
• Candidates must be eligible to work within secure government environments

Work Arrangement

• Full-time on-site role
• Due to the nature of the work, remote or hybrid arrangements are not available
