Network Services Specialist - Integrated Telco Network

You will Lead the development and execution of the tactical services test of the systems which use current and next generation small form factor Satcom bearer systems. The solution needs to support a user whilst moving, with potential for additional users whilst static, and will have constrained WAN access through the use of a SATCOM Service Provider and/or 4G/ LTE.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the preparation for Change Control Boards (CCB)
• Support the Telco Network lead in the delivery of outcomes as directed
• Lead the development and execution of the tactical services test serials
• Lead the development of training materials and technical training for unit soldiers
• Lead the development in the technical integration of the tactical services, such as Command to Control and Mission Partner Environment
• Assist the level 2/3 technical support
• Provide maintenance support to hardware and software configuration Items
• Review and provide advice on the design and implementation of interfacing systems

Highly desirable

• Experience in configuring, deploying and supporting deployable Command to Control applications
• Experience developing and administering Linux based servers, applications and standard operating environment (SOE) images
• Experience automating and scripting application installation and customisation - PowerShell
• Experience using Restful APIs (e.g. with PowerShell or Postman)
• Experience with version control (e.g. Gitlab)
• Experience in configuration and deployment of remote access technologies (Citrix, RDS)
• Knowledge of thin client technologies to support the deployed environment and experience hardening Linux operating systems
• Experience in configuration of Windows standard operating environment (SOE)
• Experience in configuration of KVM and container virtualisation tools
• Experience with WAN emulation and optimisation tools
• Experience with traffic generation tools
• Experience with HAIPE and encryption technologies
• Experience with Routing and Switching
• Experience in configuring and administering IBTN equipment nodes
• Experience in delivering training of deployed ICT equipment and applications
• Experience with US Army BTN and C2 systems
• Experience with FVEY WAN networks and systems
• Significant experience with Voice and Telephony services (such as CUCM)
• Experience with web conferencing configuration management and troubleshooting
