We’re supporting a major infrastructure program delivering complex capital projects across critical assets, with a focus on ensuring they are ready for safe, reliable, long-term operation.
This role sits within a dedicated reliability function, working across multiple projects to ensure assets transition effectively from delivery into operations, with the right maintenance strategies, standards and systems in place.
What you’ll be doing
- Supporting operational readiness across capital projects, ensuring assets are fit for purpose at handover
- Working alongside project managers to deliver key engineering, technical and maintenance outcomes
- Developing and embedding maintenance and reliability strategies for new and upgraded assets
- Ensuring assets are correctly structured, captured and maintained within systems such as Maximo
- Applying reliability methodologies, tools and standards to improve asset performance
- Identifying gaps pre-handover and driving practical, real-world solutions
What we’re looking for
- Degree-qualified Electrical Engineer
- Strong experience in reliability, maintenance or asset engineering within complex industrial environments
- Exposure to capital projects, commissioning or asset handover phases
- Knowledge of reliability principles, tools and standards (RCM, FMEA or similar)
- Experience working with maintenance systems and asset data structures
- Ability to operate as an SME and work across project and operational stakeholders
Highly regarded
- Experience in large utilities, water, energy or mining environments
- Postgraduate qualifications in Reliability Engineering
- Experience auditing or implementing maintenance standards and frameworks
Why this role stands out
- Work across a portfolio of major projects, not just a single asset
- Influence how assets are maintained and perform across their full lifecycle
- Move beyond pure delivery into a role that shapes long-term reliability outcomes
- Strong pipeline of work with an initial 12-month contract and extension potential
The opportunity
This role is well suited to engineers coming from:
- Electrical Commissioning or Start-up
- Reliability / Asset Engineering
- Project Engineering with strong maintenance exposure
…who want to step into a position where they can influence how assets are set up for success from day one of operations, not just delivered.
