Reporting to the Project Director, you will join the project in it’s early stages and drive it forward constructability. You will collaborate closely with clients, project teams, subcontractors and delivery partners. Occasional travel and working away from home will be required.
Key responsibilities include:
- Deliver transmission line construction projects with a strong focus on safety, quality, commercial performance and schedule outcomes.
- Develop and oversee tower erection and stringing methodologies, construction programs, staging plans and site delivery strategies.
- Organising and directing site labour and delivery of construction materials, plant and equipment, and establishing detailed programs for coordination of site activities
- Identifying and resolving technical issues related to stringing equipment, construction methods, and alignment tolerances.
- Developing program for the staging works, including staging and sequencing of construction activities.
- Manage project contracts, procurement activities, risk and opportunity management, stakeholder communications and project integration activities.
You will possess:
- A degree qualification in Engineering
- Experience delivering projects within utilities, infrastructure or construction environments, particularly on high-voltage transmission assets.
- Experience with overhead transmission line construction, including tower erection, stringing or associated civil, structural or electrical scopes.
- Strong understanding of EPC project delivery, including design management, procurement, construction and commissioning activities.
- The ability to build productive relationships with clients, subcontractors and project teams while managing competing priorities and demanding project schedules.
