Senior OT Engineer - TOP $$$

This role is ideal for an experienced engineer with a strong background in Operational Technology, SCADA, PLCs, industrial networking, and control systems, ideally within the water sector.

You will play a key role in the design, delivery, and optimisation of OT systems for treatment plants, pump stations, reservoirs, and other critical water infrastructure assets.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and delivery of OT and control system solutions for water and wastewater projects.
• Develop OT architectures, control philosophies, functional design specifications, and technical documentation.
• Design and implement SCADA, PLC, HMI, Historian, and industrial networking systems.
• Provide technical leadership throughout project lifecycles, from concept design through commissioning and operational support.
• Support upgrades, migrations, and modernisation of existing control systems.
• Collaborate with electrical, process, instrumentation, and project engineering teams.
• Ensure compliance with client standards, cybersecurity requirements, and engineering governance obligations.
• Participate in FAT, SAT, commissioning, troubleshooting, and ongoing operational support activities.

Skills/Experience

• Degree qualification in Electrical, Mechatronics, Automation, Control Systems, or a related Engineering discipline.
• RPEV and/or CPEng accreditation.
• 8+ years' experience delivering OT, automation, or control systems projects, preferably within the water and wastewater sector.
• Demonstrated experience with:
• PLC and automation platforms (Rockwell, Siemens, Schneider, Emerson, Mitsubishi, or similar)
• SCADA and HMI systems
• Industrial Ethernet and OT networking
• Telemetry, communications, and remote monitoring systems
• Historian and data acquisition platforms
• Strong understanding of water treatment and wastewater operations (preferred).
• Experience across project design, implementation, testing, commissioning, and operational support.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and problem-solving skills.
