Embedded Expertise is partnering with a leading engineering and infrastructure services organisation to engage a Secondary Engineer to support the delivery of HV substation projects across the power and utilities sector.

This role will suit an engineer with experience in secondary systems design, protection and control documentation, and HV substation infrastructure. Working as part of a specialist engineering team, you will contribute to the development of detailed design documentation supporting new builds, upgrades, and maintenance projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and review Single Line Diagrams
• Produce protection and control schematics and logic diagrams
• Prepare panel layouts and cable schedules
• Support the design and documentation of HV substation secondary systems
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to deliver project outcomes

About You

• Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering
• Experience developing:
  • Single Line Diagrams
  • Protection & Control Schematics
  • Logic Diagrams
  • Panel Layouts
  • Cable Schedules
• Understanding of HV substation secondary systems, including:
  • Protection Relays
  • Substation Automation and Control Systems
  • AC and DC Auxiliary Systems
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and/or MicroStation
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work within project-driven environments
