As the Mechanical/Commissioning Engineer, you will be responsible for providing technical and engineering support throughout the commissioning phase of the project. Working closely with the commissioning, construction, electrical, process, operations and project teams, you will ensure mechanical systems are safely and effectively tested, commissioned and handed over in accordance with project requirements.

The role will involve significant site-based activity and will suit an engineer who is comfortable working in a complex water or process infrastructure environment and coordinating multiple stakeholders and contractors.

You will possess:

  • Professional engineering experience in a site-based commissioning or project delivery environment.
  • Demonstrated experience commissioning mechanical plant and equipment.
  • Experience working with pumps, valves, pipework, tanks and process mechanical equipment.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical systems, equipment operation and commissioning methodologies.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, P&IDs, equipment datasheets and technical specifications.
  • Experience working with multidisciplinary commissioning teams.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with advanced water treatment, wastewater treatment, water recycling, membrane systems, chemical dosing, filtration or other process treatment technologies.
