You will work with a global leader on the delivery of a state-of-the-art infrastructure development that will transform how people move around Sydney. We are looking for a dedicated engineer to join the CCTV and video surveillance network team and to positively contribute to the design phases, live site commissioning, and handover of the project.
Key Responsibilities
- Design & Integration: Contribute to the detailed end-to-end design, configuration, and integration of complex, high-definition IP CCTV networks and video management systems (VMS) tailored for tunnel environments.
- Site Commissioning: On-site testing, factory acceptance testing (FAT), site acceptance testing (SAT), and final operational commissioning of CCTV assets.
- Technical Interface: Coordinate closely with multidisciplinary teams, including software, network engineering, civil contractors, and Transport for NSW (TfNSW) representatives, to ensure seamless systems integration.
- Compliance & Standards: Ensure all surveillance infrastructure complies with strict project specifications, Australian Standards, and TfNSW technological frameworks.
- Documentation: Author and review comprehensive technical design documentation, commissioning plans, test scripts, and operational manuals.
What You Bring
- Qualifications: A tertiary degree in Electrical, Electronics, Telecommunications, Systems Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
- CCTV Expertise: Demonstrated, hands-on experience in the design, configuration, and commissioning of large-scale IP CCTV infrastructure and VMS (e.g., Genetec, Milestone) within major transport or industrial sectors.
- ITS Project Experience: Minimum of 3–5 years working on major road, tunnel, or rail infrastructure projects. Familiarity with TfNSW projects is highly advantageous.
- Network Proficiency: Strong understanding of IP networking, fibre-optic transmission architectures, and digital video encoding principles.
- Collaborative Mindset: Exceptional communication skills with a proven track record of managing stakeholders, subcontractors, and field technicians during high-pressure commissioning phases.
