PMO Manager | Darwin

Lead project governance, portfolio performance and delivery excellence within a major infrastructure-focused organisation.

We are partnering with a large Northern Territory organisation to source an experienced PMO Manager for a critical leadership opportunity based in Darwin. This role is offered on a labour-hire basis through to 29 January 2027, with an immediate start preferred.

Working within a complex operational environment, you will lead the Project Management Office, providing governance, reporting, assurance and strategic oversight across a broad portfolio of projects and initiatives.

The Opportunity

• Lead and continuously improve PMO frameworks, standards and governance practices.
• Provide executive-level reporting, portfolio insights and decision support.
• Oversee project controls, risk management, assurance and compliance activities.
• Drive portfolio planning, prioritisation, forecasting and performance reporting.
• Support business case development, investment governance and benefits realisation.
• Build capability across project teams and promote best-practice delivery methodologies.
• Partner with senior stakeholders to ensure projects align with strategic and operational objectives.

About You

• Experience leading a PMO, portfolio management function or major program office.
• Strong project governance, reporting, risk and assurance expertise.
• The ability to influence and engage senior stakeholders across a complex organisation.
• Experience managing portfolio reporting, budgeting and project performance frameworks.
• Strong leadership, communication and continuous improvement capabilities.
• Tertiary qualifications in project management, business, engineering or a related discipline.
• Project or portfolio management certifications will be highly regarded.
