Principal Electrical Design Engineer

We're partnering with a highly regarded engineering consultancy delivering complex electrical, automation and control systems projects across critical infrastructure, utilities, energy, transport and industrial sectors.
This is a rare opportunity for an experienced engineering leader who enjoys developing people just as much as delivering great technical outcomes.
You'll take ownership of a growing design function, providing leadership, direction and mentoring to a team of engineers while remaining involved in the delivery of complex electrical engineering projects. Team leadership experience is a critical requirement for the role, and you will be required to demonstrate this capability.

What You'll Be Doing

• Leading, mentoring and developing a team of electrical design engineers
• Driving a culture of accountability, collaboration and technical excellence
• Managing the delivery of engineering designs to agreed scope, budget and schedule
• Working closely with clients and stakeholders to define and refine project requirements
• Supporting the successful delivery of complex electrical, automation and control systems projects
• Providing technical leadership and guidance across the project lifecycle

What We're Looking For

• Demonstrated experience leading and managing engineering teams
• Strong background in electrical design engineering at a senior or principal level
• Experience delivering projects within sectors such as energy, utilities, transport, manufacturing, resources or industrial automation
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and client management skills
• Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering
• Eligibility for engineering registration in South Australia
• Australian Citizenship is required
