YOKOGAWA Control Systems Engineer

Embedded Expertise (a division of Sage Group) is currently supporting our clients in the resource sector. The new need is due to companies' growth to support their operational and small projects that arise, which is why they require the skills of a site-based Yokogawa DCS/Control Systems Engineer.

The current needs will be working across Yokogawa DCS operational support engineering and some Rockwell (Allen-Bradley) PLC support.

Controls knowledge in Yokogawa DCS, both the technical aspects and practical working implementation on a working site, are essential, as well as previous experience with Rockwell PLC’s. Someone with a knowledge of design, coding, commissioning, troubleshooting and operations would be an added bonus.

Essential Skills/Requirements

1. Degree qualified in electronic/controls engineering or equivalent.
2. Minimum 5 years of control systems engineering experience
3. Strong Yokogawa DCS experience, which includes site operations experience (practical implementation and coding/design experience would be a bonus)
4. Heavy industry experience, ideally across Mining, Oil & Gas or Energy
5. Strong stakeholder engagement skills with an ability to translate technical items to non-technical colleagues when required
6. Currently based in WA, with Australian citizenship or Permanent residency.

Multiple positions are available on a contract and permanent basis, FIFO or around Perth metro.
