Our Oil & Gas client is seeking a qualified engineer (minerals processing, mining and/or chemical industry backgrounds) to provide Operations Engineering Support Services for a recently vacated contract role.
This is a 12-month full time opportunity (with the possibility of extension) largely site based in the Cooper Basin (SA) on a 2 week on, 2 week off roster. The role may need to provide support to WA assets from time to time.
Scope
- First point of contact for surface engineering support – initial problem identification, threat minimisation, engagement of other specialised resources when required
- Provision of engineering support for Surface equipment downtime
- Management of risk and opportunities register, including leading select initiatives
- Act as primary engineering resource for production operations (risk assessments, minor MOCs, bypass/override engineering reviews, change management in the asset)
- Site engineering representation and provision of technical support during key field activities (major shutdowns, commissioning activities and as directed and agreed by major stakeholders)
- Operations engineering stakeholder for Projects
- Act as the client representative in commissioning and handover activities in the field
About You
- Tertiary qualifications in Engineering (minerals processing/mining/chemical, Min BEng, MIEAust)
- Min 5-10 years' experience in upstream Hydrocarbon production
- Demonstrated field experience in frontline operations, maintenance, construction or commissioning engineering roles
- Exposure to gas production and processing facilities
- Experienced with hydrocarbon industry permit to work systems
- Experienced in Management of Change process and conducting Operational Risk assessments
- High level of analysis and fault-finding skills
Requirements for field travel:
- 4WD competency ticket, current Australian Drivers Licence
- Medical assessment
