This senior role will see you leading our Clients’ Central Design & Architecture (CDA) team, consisting of senior architects and technical resources.
This Team is responsible for:

  • Defining robust and cost-efficient solutions across all layers of solution architecture, including business process, application, technology, data, and security architectures
  • Proposes, reviews, and validates designs of critical high-availability, high-volume government ICT systems
  • Provides software development / integration services
  • Delivers appropriate documentation managing implementation within the agreed scope, time, quality and budget.
  • Develop and document appropriate framework and tool kits to support projects including software, architecture, data and integration

The role will require you working closely with Senior Directors and various Program & Project Managers.
This will be within an environment that is characterised by competing priorities, multiple stakeholders and vendors, and tight delivery timeframes.

About You

  • 5+ years as a senior “full-stack” software engineer or developer
  • Demonstrated familiarity with multimodal Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) within a large, complex and high-profile ICT program environment
  • Experience working in large-scale transformational programs
  • Experience in Azure Cloud technologies and DevOps CI/CD
  • Working knowledge of Jira, Confluence, Sharepoint
  • Experience and expertise with the Microsoft technology stack including Active Directory, SQL Server /SSRS/SSAS/SSIS, Exchange Server, .NET CORE
  • Demonstrated technical knowledge and ability to manage technical resources including solution architects and full-stack developers.
  • Proven ability to build, manage and lead a high-performance multidisciplinary team to deliver high quality solution architectures and designs
  • Demonstrated track record in providing leadership in matters of governance and probity, business and operational change planning, resolving complex risks and issues and the successful delivery of agreed priorities and objectives.
  • Considerable experience writing technical documentation (including architecture and design documents) and presentations at executive level
  • Tertiary qualifications in IT, computer science or software engineering highly desired
  • Familiarity with the Australian Government Architecture framework or equivalent at a state/territory level desirable
