Supervisor IT/OT

This is a leadership role within a global mining company. World leading in the production of gold, copper, silver, lead and zinc.

Your supervisory capability and technical knowledge will ensure the safe, reliable, and effective operation & maintenance of underlying technology infrastructure within the converged IT & OT Technology space.

You will be managing a team of up to 5 specialists, thus act as a leader in safety and collaborate with other department supervisors to address and allocate resources, and priorities.

A 6-month contract is on offer ….. FIFO Perth 8/6.

About the Role

• Conduct day to day maintenance, troubleshooting and continuous improvement of site technology infrastructure.
• Facilitate addition, removal, and changes to technology systems.
• Ensure statutory systems are maintained, audited, and treated according to the relevant legislation.
• Provide technical and statutory guidance and support to site.
• Prioritise and manage the list of system reliability concerns and improvement projects.
• Provide technical guidance on the integration of new systems with existing site infrastructure.
• Maintain adequate site callout support for technology systems.

Technical Accountabilities

• Utilise domain knowledge to assist in Root Cause Analysis, process improvement and post incident investigations.
• Safety, security and integrity of IT/OT systems from physical & cyber intrusion.
• Preventative maintenance, checks, audits and calibrations to maintain the integrity of both hardware & software components of technology systems.
• Level 3 technical support to site

Specific Technology Systems – Advanced Skills Required

• Embedded operating system management
• Windows & Linux server/desktop administration
• Backup, Antivirus and Disaster Recovery procedures.
• Firmware, configuration management and administration of various of intelligent devices
• Management of the site’s IP networks

About You

• Supervisory experience within a 24x7x365 manufacturing or heavy industry operation
• Tertiary Qualification in IT discipline or demonstrate 5 years equivalent experience
• Industry certification across networking, system administration and disaster recover
• A thorough understanding of:
  • IP data communications systems
  • Wireless network administration and deployment
  • Windows, Linux, and embedded system administration
  • SQL database administration
  • Remote access and administration tools
  • Best practice backup and disaster recovery in 24x7x365 environments.
  • Equipment installation standards
  • Microsoft Active Directory administration and design
