Control Systems Engineer - TOP $$$

Are you passionate about automation and eager to contribute to capital projects? We’re seeking an experienced Control Systems Engineer to join our team. Reporting directly to the Engineering Manager, you’ll play a crucial role in delivering automation work packages across various capital projects.

Responsibilities:

1. PLC Programming:
• Develop and program PLCs and Safety PLCs.
• Hands-on experience with major PLC brands.
• Familiarity with automation interfacing and protocols such as Profibus & Profinet.
2. System Setup and Navigation:
• Set up new PLC hardware and software from scratch.
• Navigate and understand existing PLC code.
3. Human-Machine Interface (HMI) Programming:
• Program HMIs (brands like Citect, Panel View, and WinCC).
• Specify and design HMI interfaces.
4. Safety PLC Validation:
• Develop commissioning and test plans to validate safety PLC code.
5. Training and Support:
• Conduct hardware and software training for technical personnel.
6. Alarm Design and Fault-Finding:
• Experience with efficient alarm design and fault-finding guides.
7. Project Involvement:
• Input to all project phases within the automation scope.
• Collaborate with Project Managers and Engineers.
8. Electrical and Control System Design:
• Design electrical and automated control systems.
• Create project technical performance specifications and functional descriptions.
9. Technology Selection:
• Select appropriate technology (PLC, Drive, Instruments, Sensors, Valves, Actuators, MCC, Motors) ensuring compatibility.
10. Design Documentation:
• Prepare design drawings:
• Single Line Diagrams
• Motor Control Schematics/specifications
• Control panel layout & design
• Electrical power distribution systems
• I/O wiring
• Loop drawings
• Network system design
